A long time yet, we think.

EA Games’ Frank Gibeau has dismissed recent worries that a sequel for Mirrors Edge had been ditched, and says the company is “actively working” on ideas for the franchise.
Reports emerged earlier in the month claiming development of the game had been stalled by EA and the small team at DICE working on it, but that’s simply not true, according to the EA Games Label President.
"Not at all.” he told CVG, when asked whether the reports of cancellation were true. “We're just trying to figure out how to bring Mirror's Edge back and in what way. That's part of the creative development process. I know there are some stories about how EA killed Mirror's Edge. Well, I'm the guy; I greenlight the games. I did not kill it - as God is my witness.
He added: "What we said internally is: 'What do we need to do to make [a sequel] a hit?' We need to go from version one to version two so that it sells two to three times as many, it finds a much bigger audience. The first game from a quality standpoint was good, but now it needs to be great.”
The 2008 free-running beauty didn’t do too well when it comes to sales, but EA hopes to expand the franchise fan-base with a sequel.
