GameStop in Northern Ireland has shut all their stores across the country effective yesterday with employees being notified of the closure only the day before (Sunday January 22), TheGamingLiberty reports.

Shoppers were greeted with the signs shown above outside the Belfast store which informs customers that business will now be transferred to their UK website. The company said on their that they will "We will honour all outstanding deposits and gift cards on www.gamestop.co.uk"

It is understood that management at GameStop have signed non-disclosure agreements whick keeps their departure from Northern Ireland quiet until an official statement is released by GameStop.
