Rocksteady’s Dax Ginn has claimed the studio’s next title depends entirely on how Batman: Arkham City is received in the coming weeks.

“Where we go from here is anyone's guess,” said the studio’s marketing game manager in an interview with CVG. “There’s a philosophy at the studio that as long as we keep making awesome things, awesome opportunities will open up to us. But we can't make any firm decisions because the games industry is a crazy thing.

He added: “We're just focused on the here and now and getting to October 31. We'll see what people think of this first.”

When asked whether the studio would consider developing its own, brand new IP, Ginn said the London studio is only focusing on continuing its working relationship with DC.

“We're a small team and we're working on, purely just everything that we can get out of DC. The relationship we have with them is amazing, we're really making this our focus.”

Batman: Arkham City launched for PS3 and Xbox 360 yesterday in North America, and hits Europe on Friday. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you would have noticed one or two of the fantastic reviews it has so far received.
