Nintendo has seen an almost exponential level of growth 3DS sales in the wake of the price cut for the handheld that took effect on August 12.

When Nintendo announced the price cut sales fell by almost 50% as consumers held off from buying the device until the new price was applied. Andriasang are reporting sales of almost 215,000 units compared to a meagre 16,000 shifted last week.

Lifetime sales of the 3DS up until August 14 stand at 1,521,326.
