Capcom has confirmed a price reduction for Nintendo 3DS title Resident Evil Revelations ahead of its launch in the US next month.

On its official blog the publisher says that, “after weeks of effort,” it was able to bring the game’s price down to $39.99 from its initial $49.99 point. That was of course due to the game requiring a 4GB memory card, rather than 2GB.

It goes on to say that the change stands only for the US, and suggests those who have already pre-ordered to contact their retailer on the matter.

Resident Evil Revelations launches on January 27 across Europe, and February 7 across North America.
