Nintendo denies reports that Miyamoto will step down

Nintendo has today denied a report claiming Zelda and Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto has stepped down from his position at the company.
Miyamoto had apparently announced his plans to depart his current position to work on smaller, more personal titles during an interview with Wired, but Nintendo says it isn’t true.
"This is absolutely not true," a spokesperson for the video game giant told Reuters. "There seems to have been a misunderstanding. He has said all along that he wants to train the younger generation."
"He has no intention of stepping down. Please do not be concerned."
