Sony’s announced it’ll provide Sucker Punch Productions’ upcoming blockbuster inFAMOUS 2 with a multimillion dollar marketing campaign.

“Sony Computer Entertainment America will support inFAMOUS 2 with a blockbuster multimillion dollar marketing campaign,” reads the publishers latest press release on the title. “This will include aggressive national television, print, online and viral advertising campaigns, full promotional support, dedicated point-of-purchase displays and merchandising support, broad-based public relations support, and an immersive and interactive website.”

inFAMOUS 2 sees main protagonist Cole McGrath return for a second stint, this time heading to the New Orleans-inspired city New Marais, where he comes up against even more opposition than the last.

It launches exclusively on PlayStation 3 later this year, with Sony quite obviously looking at it as one of the biggest titles of the next 12 months. From what we’ve seen and played, we support that.
