Official Rugby World Cup 2011 game announced
Rugby makes a return to consoles.

After an absence of almost four years rugby is making a return to consoles with Rugby World Cup Limited today announcing that HB Studios and 505 GAMES will be creating the official Rugby World Cup 2011 game.
“We are delighted that there will be an official game of Rugby World Cup 2011, delivering the ability to boost the tournament experience for Rugby fans whilst growing the appeal and profile of our sport across all markets. This game will capture the emotion, passion, drama and excitement of what is the biggest sporting event of the year,” said IRB Chairman Bernard Lapasset.
The game will allow players to pick from the 20 Rugby World Cup 2011 nations, and lead their team to glory through the pool and knock-out stages.
RWC 2011 will be available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on August 26th 2011 with the World Cup itself kicking off September 9th.
