A South African retailer has begun taking pre-orders for a little something called God of War IV, fuelling speculation that Sony Santa Monica’s working on the next title within its hack-and-slash series.

BT Games, the same retailer which last year listed the Jak and Daxter HD Collection before official announcement, has listed the long awaited title for PS3 with an estimated release month of February 2013.

It’s almost two years since the release of God of War III and despite a lot of talk on the potential God of War IV – a September 2012 launch has even been spoken of – we’re still waiting to hear something official on the matter from publisher Sony. Fingers crossed, it’s not too far away.
