Report: PS4 to launch in 2012, features Kinect-like tech

Sony is looking to begin production of its next home console – the PlayStation 4 – towards the end of 2011, according to a new report.
Citing Taiwan-based component makers, DigiTimes says the firm is also aiming to launch the new hardware sometime next year and ship at least 20 million units over 2012. Foxconn and Pegatron Technology, the two companies who assemble the current PlayStation 3, will have the same job with the PS4 apparently.
Furthermore, it's claimed the console will have “body movement-based control,” similar to that used for the Xbox 360's Kinect, integrated.
Plans for a new PlayStation console were thought to have been suspended back in February, and just last month Sony Computer Entertainment America president Jack Tretton said there won't be any official word on a new home console “for quite some time.”
