Sony and Evolution Studios have launched the Motorstorm Apocalypse Private Beta, according to an image obtained by Joystiq.

The image shows an invite supposedly sent out by Sony to “a UK-based tipster” inviting them into the online event, and includes dates and times for scheduled event nights/matchmaking tests. It’s been said the Beta is listed as "Network Beta Trial Notification - PlayStation 3 beta Trial PSN" to cover up its real identity.

If you’re feeling a little left out by this, don’t worry, a public demo is expected to go live (date unknown) before the game releases exclusively for PlayStation 3 on March 16 in Europe, and on April 12 in North America.
