Square Enix has announced its release plans for the first Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC, following the game’s launch across North America yesterday.

The publisher says the ‘Lightning and Amodar’ Coliseum Battle DLC will be available to download from the PlayStation Network ($3) and Xbox Live Marketplace (240 MS Points) from February 8.

Coliseum Battles see players take on characters – both friends and foes – from previous titles within the RPG franchise. Those defeated can be recruited into the player’s party.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 hits PS3 and Xbox 360 on Friday, February 3 across Europe.
