Valve boss Gabe Newell has declared the development of Portal 2 “finished”, as the game is set to go into the manufacturing stages.

“We just finished Portal 2,” he said, speaking during a video conference call to a marketing class. "It's pretty much put to bed and we're just waiting for final approvals and to get the discs manufactured." he then added.

The game was first unveiled by Newell, totally unexpectedly, at the E3 conference last year. PlayStation Move support was thought to have been confirmed last week, but Valve later denied the claims.

Portal 2 is due for launch on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on April 18 and April 21 in North America and Europe.
