Update: Oh dear. Wipe that smile of your face, as Valve have now released a statement which reads, "Unfortunately this quote was “lost in translation” — Portal 2 does not include support for Sony’s motion controller."
Original: Valve writer Chet Faliszek has revealed that Portal 2 will feature cloud saving and PlayStation Move support when it releases.
The features will act as compensation for the lack of Left 4 Dead on PlayStation 3, Faliszek said during an interview (translated by Eurogamer) with the German PlayStation Blog.
"We made a mistake back then and gave the Orange Box console versions to an external team,” he said. “They did a good job, but didn't quite achieve the same quality level that we have at Valve. Now everything happens in-house, we created a special console department just for that.
"So the move to the PlayStation 3 comes late - we're sorry for that. As a small compensation we have PS3-exclusive cloud saving, a free code for PC and complete PlayStation Move support"
He added: "Look at it as a compensation for Left 4 Dead."
Portal 2 launches for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and Mac on April 18 and April 22 in North America and Europe.
