Bloober Team has announced it is developing a launch title for Sony’s upcoming NGP handheld console. The developer is yet to reveal the name or details of the game, but said more information will arrive next month.

Piotr Babieno, President of Bloober Team offered his comments on the news, noting it to be “a tremendous honor to be included in the initial, day-one launch titles for such an impressive piece of new hardware as the NGP.”

“SCEE has been extremely interested in our title since we first showed it off, and have been more than accommodating getting us everything we need to make a great game,” he added. “The NGP is a truly revolutionary piece of tech and being one of the first to develop on it has been both a tremendous joy and privilege.”

Babieno also praised Sony for taking a “developer-centric approach” with its portable platform, the follow-up to the PSP. As mentioned earlier, more information on the title is to be announced sometime next month.
