Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has become the 16th game to ever achieve full marks in a review from Famitsu magazine.

This year’s most anticipated Wii release received a rating of 10/10 from each of the magazine’s four reviewers, adding up to the perfect score of 40 – the first game on any platform this year.

Three titles within the Nintendo franchise have achieved a perfect score from Famitsu prior to Skyward Sword, including Nintendo 64 hit Ocarina of Time in 1998.

Skyward Sword launches on November 18 across Europe, and November 20 in North America.
