Microsoft is set to hold a press event in San Francisco later this week, and according to Xbox Live director of programming Major Nelson, quite a few announcements are planned.
Speaking during his latest podcast (via Examiner) he revealed, "Next week I'm going to be down in San Francisco. We are having an invite-only press event that we're going to have some cool news that I'm not quite fully briefed on, but we have a lot of news that we're going to be announcing.”
He added: “Just telling you guys, you're going to be really happy when you hear all the news, that's all I can say."
Speculation over the past few months claims we’ll be seeing the remake of Halo: Combat Evolved hit Xbox 360 later this year, and a Gears of War-related announcement, thought to be for a Kinect-enabled title, is due after its VGA cancellation. At the moment though, we can only wait and see what emerges later this week.
