Epic Games and Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski has spoken on the possibility of an instalment within the shooter franchise compatible with the Xbox 360’s motion peripheral, Kinect.

"If, in the event there were to be another Gears game, that’s something we might explore. But we want to do it right.” he said when speaking to IndustryGamers at this year’s E3 conference. “If I had unlimited amounts of time and a team I could sit down and make a cool Kinect game, and I would love to, but it’s a matter of time and opportunity costs right now.”

Speculation regarding a Gears of War title for Kinect has been lingering since November last year, with a December VGA reveal first expected before cancellation. Epic Games then managed to trademark the title Gears of War: Exile, fuelling the speculation, and from there on an announcement was expected earlier this month at E3 in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, nothing came of it.

Epic is currently working on Gears of War 3, which is set for an Xbox 360 exclusive launch on September 20.
