IGN are reporting that Microsoft and Epic Games may be gearing up for the announcement of a Gears of War Kinect title at the upcoming VGA’s.

A source has told the site that the time for hardcore titles on the ever-so-popular motion device is getting closer, with other action games also set for announcement with Kinect support.

It was unknown whether Kinect support would come to the upcoming third instalment - due for release towards the end of next year - or a completely new game. Judging by creative director of “no Kinect in Gears of War 3”, we’re guessing it’s a new title. Pinch of salt though, pinch of salt.
