US students get free Xbox 360 with Windows 7 PC purchase
Similar deals set for Canada and France.

Microsoft has announced a deal for students in the United States in which a free Xbox 360 4GB console is given to those purchasing a new Windows 7-based PC priced over $699.
“A hot new Windows 7-based PC with a free Xbox 360 is the ultimate productivity, social and entertainment package for students,” said Microsoft’s GM of Windows Marketing, Kathleen Hall. “In one shot, with this great offer, Microsoft is giving students everything they need for a successful new school year.”
The deal is noted to be available while stock lasts at unnamed participating retailers. Microsoft says similar student deals are set for Canada and France.
